He was awarded for his international contribution to the education of plastic surgeons as a visiting professor. For the second consecutive term, he was granted the title of Vice President of the Educational Council of ISAPS and remained a visiting professor for another two years.
In addition to the above title, Dr. Paraskevas Kontoes holds the title of ISAPS Professor, which has been awarded to him for life, as well as to 40 other plastic surgeons worldwide among the 3,500 members of this leading international scientific society of plastic surgery (www.isaps.org).
All of the above took place at the ISAPS congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the honorary guest speaker was Ivo Pitanguy. Dr. Paraskevas Kontoes was the only Greek plastic surgeon who participated as an invited speaker and presented his experience with the lecture:
“Lasers and innovations in Plastic Surgery. When, how and why” on Sunday 21/9/2014.

Dr. Paraskevas Kontoes, having on his right in photo 4 the new President of ISAPS S. Takayanagi from Japan, the Secretary General Gianluca Campiglio from Italy, and the next President of ISAPS, R. Saltz from the United States of America, at the award ceremony of the professors of the Educational Council for their contribution to the dissemination of knowledge in plastic surgery worldwide.
