Otoplasty

Protruding ears often cause psychological problems in school-age children as well as in young people; therefore, it is recommended that the procedure (otoplasty) be performed during the preschool years. However, in adults as well, prominent ear auricles or other ear deformities can be successfully corrected through otoplasty surgery.

In otoplasty, the parallel use of a specialized laser device also holds a prominent role, as it significantly reduces bleeding, postoperative swelling, and bruising, while allowing modifications to the classical technique that previously caused these problems.

The procedure (otoplasty) is usually performed under local anesthesia, and a return to daily activities is achieved within 3–5 days.
